I evacuated the Florida Keys last Saturday and just got back tonight. To my understanding, the only available gas was at the highway rest areas, and the waiting lines from Port St. Lucie to the Florida Keys were miles long. The available gas is $20 worth per car and many people were pushing their cars to the rest areas. Basically it was controlled chaos. I gassed up in Orlando so I made it home without having to go through this, but I felt sorry for the thousands who were stranded waiting for gas.
Yay, homeland security!
