KErry is a gentleman. He will never say "liar" but he will express his |
|
views and show turd and his blossom for what they are.
I know people are upset that Kerry didn't take the gloves off, but Kerry is a gentleman and thought that it was the way to play the game. In a normal world it would have worked, but nothing Kerry could have done could overcome the THEFT that was election 2004

I wanted to express in a way that others would understand what I meant without saying Kerry was rich and stuck up because that is what the trolls would get out of it.

8. Well you express yourself very well and what you said was the truth |
|
regarding Kerry. He was/is a gentleman and a seasoned statesman. He truly cares about Americans just as Pres Clinton did/does and as VP Gore does. It must be a Democratic thing. :-) Rich and stuck up would describe bush** and most of his cabinet and his appointments.

3. Maybe Kerry shouldn't use the word liar, but some of the Dem |
|
talking heads could have! It's pretty standard stuff that the candidates themselves don't get down into the mud, but their promoters are the ones who are supposed to do that!
They didn't use that word either!

but I bet Kerry set the tone that they would be above the high school name calling.
but yes there were other words to use instead of liar and others shoudl have yelled it from the mountain tops!

the violent smack of a word like "liar" needs to come from those above such epithets. It registers precisely because it's jarring and base and unexpected. Because it's rare and not abused, it has brutal meaning. It cuts to the quick and kills.
Example: I heard my recently-deceased 82 year old grandmother say f_ck once in my 25 years of life. I can tell you the exact moment, context, usage, location, why, and who it was directed at. It nuked all further discussion of the matter at hand.
My baby brother (he's 19) uses it 3 to 5 times an hour and I couldn't recall a single one of them off the top of my head for $100 or even $1000. His don't do a heck of a lot.

4. Whenever he tried to say something he didn't quite believe |
|
you could tell.
He had to be poked in the nose a few times to come out swinging. That last month or so was fun for that reason. (hence my avatar)
He's a statesman. I still can't look at the Shrub and feel any sort of ownership, like that's my president. I still feel like Kerry should be there. Wonder when I will get over that feeling.

Kerry's presense would be sooooo "presidential" and would absolutely bring back respect and dignity to the White House

a feeling in my gut that this just isn't right.
Like it's some sort of nightmare.

7. ....not given the truth", -John Kerry |

He was giving a speech, he wasn't arguing with someone. Isn't the opposite of truth a lie? I appreciate your post, but there are more than one way to imply you were lied to.

The ass voted for the Patriot act and the IWR. Either he was hopelessly deluded or looking for votes (both bills were popular at the time).
Stupidity and opportunism do not a gentleman make.
