Been surfing around, have a bad feeling about Rove not being indicted.
You know the big smile and salute today. And a post I read at washington note is making me feel so uneasy. I will really be bummed if he isn't charged with any wrong doing. Also that rumor that was floated today about Fitz offering his a plea and Rove saying "shine". I think it is so if Rove is not indicted they will spin that Fitz tried to trick him into pleading guilty to something he couldn't even get the gj to indict on. Damn, this is killing me.

1. Rove is dirty even if he is slimy enough to get off the charges.

3. No one knows anything right now.
There's no reason to get hyped up now. Only Fitz knows what Fitz is going to do. :hi:

4. Is it this from Steve Clemons?
The one interesting tidbit that came my way by way of an unnamed senior American journalist is this:

My sense is that the Rove team is feeling more confident today, the Libby team despondent
This is quite fascinating -- and could mean nothing. . .or everything. If Rove did not receive a letter yesterday and Libby did -- then Rove may have missed a bullet.

Alternative, Rove may be cited for lying to an FBI officer and not with full-fledged perjury and obstruction of justice, which many think Libby will be facing.

I'm worried, too. I want Rove indicted more than any of them.

5. Don't focus on that bad feeling.
Fitzgerald conducts business differently than Ken Starr did. Ken Starr is the Anti-Fitz!

I don't think we'll know what's actually going on untill Fitzgerald is fully prepared to make his case. We both know he has one, right?. :)

There's too much valueless and contradictory speculation flying around.

ps: I think there's more than one holiday we'll be celebrating. :)

7. I think Rove's in trouble.
1) He was called to the GJ more than anyone else.

2) We know he has contradicted his previous testimony several times.

3) Fitzgerald's history suggests that he squeezes his targets as he goes up. I think there's a good chance he offered Rove a chance to plea bargain. Rove said no. I bet Fitz went ahead and got an indictment against Rove and will now go back to him again.

Just look at the date. Fitzgerald is taking every last day, every last moment he can to ramp up the pressure. Because he knows that this is when people begin to cave.

9. Is it true that Rover is trying to weasel out of issues and is thereby
dragging indictments out until Friday?

11. Don't know about that one.
Haven't heard that. But I did just have a thought. What if everyone got there target letters except Rove. So Rove thinks he is off the hook. That is why he had the shit eating grin today and the mocking salute. Maybe Fitz got him a nice little idictment today. Please oh please oh please get that beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

13. Earlier here there were a couple of posts about Rover causing
the delays in the indictments. I didn't read the whole post just the titles...we were swarmed with freepers and were just playing on a few threads, or at least I was. I wonder if that's why he's grinning? I still think you could be right that he thinks he's out of the loop but he's actually getting something worse than a target letter.
