Harriet Miers: America's lost opportunity |
|
Edited on Thu Oct-27-05 08:55 AM by SpiralHawk
When Bush yanked Miers nomination (and you know this was an Inner Kabal Decision, not hers alone), America lost an opportunity to explore some crucial questions:
What role did Miers play in covering up Bush's shameful AWOL-Desertion record with the Texas Air National Guard?
How did an AWOL-Deserter come to be the putative Commander-in-Chief of US Armed Forces?
What role did Miers play in securing a "press" pass for a known Male Prostitute (JEFF GANNON) to visit the Bush White House almost 200 times, according to the official Secret Service records?
When Miers handed Bush the August 6, 2001 PDB headlined "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in USA" why did she and her boss, Bush, ignore it and the 50 or so other clear warnings, continue Bush's 5-week vacation, and leave America's defenseless on 9/11? I mean, Bush's Pentagon had almost an hour to Get a Clue after the WTC was struck, and they couldn't even muster a Pop Gun to defend themselves and the Nation's Capital?
What's with that Massive Failure? Miers and Bush were TOGETHER through all of this. What exactly did she do, or fail to do?
I believe a thorough examination of these basic questions by the American public could very well have led to deeper underestanding of the BushCo-Republican Culture of Corruption that now afflicts the USA and the world.
I mourn the lost opportunity to Question Bush's Fixer.
The BushCo Cabal's Krypt of Cronyism will now remain SEALED.

2. The Miers nomination at least showed me one thing... |
|
and it is that Plamegate(is that what it is being called?) is clearly effecting the Bush administration's decision making process. If this wasn't occurring, then I don't think that the administration would have chosen her or even if they had chosen her, then they would not have taken as long to remove her. This is only ,ore proof that Plamegate is bothering the administration big time.

3. do you really think they would have allowed those questions... |
|
to be answered? Never, in my opinion. We would have gotten a constant stream of "I cannot answer that question because of Attorney/Client privilege" or some other bullshit reply. They never would have answered anything like that. Those questions have been hanging over bush for decades and have been buried so deeply they'll never resurface.

7. Ahhh, Grasshopper, sometimes the Question itself |
|
can provoke the moment of ZEN
The Blogosphere would have to have raised the questions, for clearly neither Congress nor the Corporate Media have the integrity to do so.
But the blogosphere has demonstrated its capability to raise and press these kinds of questions.
And so, striving for Satori, I mourn the loss of opportunities for INQUIRY INto the ULTIMATE TRUTHS.

6. We May Still See Harriet Again... |
|
Seems she was witness to a lot of interesting things...kind of a Forresta Gump...being in the room or nearby throughout most of the scandals of this regime.
Also, should a civil suit about L'Affair L'Plame and/or 9/11 comes about, hopefully someone will haul this lady before a jury and compell her to testify in a new form of "murder boards".

8. I think not. To the contrary, we should rejoice |
|
The Bushitas are well known for returning fire, when their backs are up against the wall. They did it in Texas (with Miers help); they did to McCain in NC; they did to the Dems in 2000 and again in 2002, and 2004. Between Rove, Cheney and Bush, there is an understanding that if they accept term limits, and leave office, their entire house of cards disappears. Many of the will end up in jail. Miers represented the best hope they had of destroying what remains of our tattered constitution, and securing their futures for the conceivable future.
Be glad she is gone. This is one of many nails into Bush's coffin.
I understand your point, but I suspect that her presence on the USSC would have been horrible for America and democracy. Bush and his cronies would have used every means, legal, military, and terra-based scare tactics to cement their hold on our country.
Rejoice! I am.

9. Did the WH need Miers out of the picture in order to focus... |
|
on the upcoming indictments? Not sure of how it would all fit, but if she is chief WH counsel, they may need all she has in THAT role for now. Any thoughts on this?

10. I think keeping Miers on staff in the White House is like |
|
keeping Brownie on the payroll at FEMA.
It demonstrates incompetence and arrogance at the failed Bush White House. Through and through.
It demonstrates the Republican Culture of Corruption.

Contemplate on this.
