The Astro's Have A Curse That They'll Have To Deal With To Win In.....
the future. They have to do something about Barbara and Poppy(41) jinxing the team and mugging up the TV broadcast of the game.

Did you see Poppy(41) napping?

Maybe they should buy the Astro's for 43 - he's going to need something else to do soon. Maybe - he can even get Sammy Sosa back and redeem himself.

Go ChiSox!!!!!!!!!!!

1. I bet they'll weld the dome shut
so that no one can ever take away their crowd noise again.

3. I am sick of curses
the only people talking about a "curse" of the Black Sox were the national media. I frequent a rabid sox message board, and I haven't seen one person refer to such a curse.

4. Oh, come on. You have GOT to admit if there wasn't a curse on the Astros
before there has to be one once Chimpy and his mafia family got involved with the Astro organization. Its gonna take a lot of karma to overcome that.

:silly:

5. Are You Referring To Black Sox/White Sox Curse or The Bush Curse On The...
Astro's.

The White Sox just broke their curse. Unfortunately - The Bush Curse On The Astro's will last a long time.

6. That's my point. The white sox didn't have a curse in the first place
The Sox fans I have read simply didn't think like that. The media invented it because after the Red Sox won last year, they had an obsessive need to go on about some curse or other.

7. You're right. I never hear SOX fans talking about a curse.
The media does all the "curse" talking in this town. Same with the CUBS curse. Fans don't buy into it.

11. We Leave The Curses On The Northside...LOL
Not many of us were around in 1919. Few remembered 1959. This was a moment of a lifetime...unique unto itself.

Cheers...

12. That was a sad, sad case.
I lived in H'town at the time. Worse, was a few years later when either the Chronicle or the Post did the story about him being on the street and being homeless.

9. I agree Mama/Papa Bush sucked the energy
out of the ball park!....the camera was on them every time you saw the batter.....I think people love sports for many reasons and one is ... it's a diversion from "an outside world"....a leisure pastime.....ya know ..."let's play ball"!!...and to see Mama/Papa Bush front and center was such a "buzz kill"....

When Lovett sang "God Bless America"...which I thought was great...the camera stayed on the face of a woman who was signing along with tears welling in her eyes.....It was not joyous ...it was heavy....it was like a funeral. I wanted to see the camera on the Bushes.....sitting there as if they were loved elders of America.....The poor Astros.

The IRONY of Ozzie Guillen yelling "Venezuela"....is too rich!...I read that 2,000 people demonstrated in Caracas over Bush going there November 3rd. Bush going to Venezuela to "patch things up"?...because he again screwed up.

13. Some people here even think that Bush Sr owns a piece of the 'Stros....
His son once DID own 1.6% of a team Up North.

The Astros are likely to outlive Bush & Co.

18 years. Thank goodness, that the 'Stros have remained my favorite team.

15. Hi Definition Indigestion
I had to pop off the Faux wide screen pictures when they had the shot of the Quaker Oats Guy and Poppy.

We kept wishing that someone would foul a ball off her "beautiful mind". The pained looked on their faces toward the end of last night's game is precious...especially considering Poppy knows his boy is about to go down. Faux didn't shine those cameras on them like they did during the Cardinal series...they knew too many of us in Chicago would start throwing things at the screen if they did.

The funny part was Silverado Neil being there on Tuesday night...and how they both ducked out after the 9th inning...not sticking around. I figured they had to get Babs back to the crypt before she began to grow hair and Neil had a 1am booty call.

The 'Stros played tough and just ran into a team that was focused on winning this thing. Dare I say (and no offense to my Texas DU brothers and sisters), it felt great to mess with Texas. ROFL
