I Sure Hope A Deal Hasn't Been Cut. |
|
You know. The one where the "creative" prosecutor crafts "slap on the wrist" indictments that the sacrificial lambs can plead "no contest" to.
When they plead "no contest" it will be investigation over. Nothing else to see here, move on. Constitutional crisis avoided for the good of the country.
Please tell me I'm wrong.
Man oh man, though. If it goes the other way..., you know, indictments for lying to get us into a war, and then profiting on the contracts, ...jeeeeez, the sheer, unadulterated corruption that would get exposed...
Surely a deal will be cut. For the "good of the country."

1. There will be no indictments on "lying us into war." |
|
I guarantee that Fitzgerald isn't going to open that can of worms.

2. So far, I've heard Fitzgerald doesn't play that way |
|
From the sounds of it, if he's going to make any deals, it would be with the lower guys to get to the guys at the top. But it doesn't even sound like that. He's making Washington swirm like we've never seen before.

6. Well, here in Chicago he cut a deal |
|
on the racketeering trial of our former Governor Ryan (R). Ryan's Chief of Staff, Scott Fawell, is doing time but flipped to testify against Ryan in order to save his fiancee from doing time. Fawell's fiancee was a secretary/admin (IIRC) who did some dirty deeds with computer disks, etc.

3. Reported that Fitz rented more office space in D.C. |
|
A 'Deal' could mean someone is roving in to rat out a bigger fish.
Personally, I would rather see Cheney fried in Fitz's pan even if it means letting the puffed-up political hack/dirty trickster Rove off with a slap on his weak wittle wrist. :D

4. Wouldn't surprise me in the least. In fact I have trouble believing |
|
it would go any other way. For the "good of the country" Yep I can just hear it now. :puke: When in fact the exact opposite is true. So I can't tell you that you are wrong.

5. Isn' t that the reason they gave for the Warren Commission Report? |
|
The ones who did the Warren Commission. For the good of the country.
