It's time to be forward thinking, DUers
While we're anxiously anticipating news from Fitzgerald's office, let's not lose sight of things. That is something we have no control over.

However, we do have control over pushing Democrats into speaking out on issues in the upcoming races.

Number one: Illegal immigration. Our elected officials and those running for office need to get out in front on this one and make it a major issue. This ties many things together (terrorism, jobs, public school funding, crime...just to name a few). On the plus side, it gets to the heart of fighting for the every day working family in America. That employers are against it doesn't matter. It's the individuals, the people who "work hard and are law abiding citizens". Democrats need to be talking STRONG about this one every single hour of every day.

Number two: Iraq...sticky issue no matter which way it's approached. IMO, re-arguing the whys only wastes precious time to get a message out and opens opportunities to get sucked into a tangle of publicon hyperbolic attacks. State the obvious: we're there and here's the plan for getting out.

Number three: Accountability in Government. From FEMA to Defense. At the highest to the lowest levels. Government needs to be accountable to the voters and the people it serves.

So, we need to take breaks and celebrate, but let's keep our eye on the prize. :)

5. I hear you
If you have more than two or three points, then you lose the cohesiveness of your message and Rush Bimbo will accuse you of having no ideas!

3. Good question!
And difficult to have a concise answer as it's such a complicated issue. But they need to come up with comprehensive plan and put it forward. IMO, a good start would be enforcing border security by really increasing border patrol manpower instead of talking about it and then tossing a in a few extra just to say a promise was kept. Simultaneously increasing ICE agents working closely with local police to seek out and deport illegals.
