If everyone is so angry in Florida...
why don't they express this to their commander and thief when he comes. Everybody together now gas, water and food. The only time I saw that was when the Dr. told Cheney to f--- himself. Bush always gets the photo-op with someone running to hug him like he is their lord and savior, I know some one in the background has to be angry.

1. They can't blame their Dear Leader, God's chosen one...
It has to be someone else's fault. They love their Bush down there.

2. The pukes isolate chimpy better than they did with the "Fuck u Mr.
Cheney" situation and believe now that that has happened along with all of the other damage on the USS Dipshit - chimp will be even more secluded - unless your a major ass kisser you won't get with in a mile of chimp when he goes on these photo ops.

Because I live here in the Bananna Republic and if I had a chance I would surley give him a piece of DU's mind.

Vote for the green party!

3. You usually can't get that close to him
But, last year when he came to town, my buddy got within 300 yards of him. And he has a bullhorn that's very loud at half-a-mile.

Disrupted the hell out of him.

4. no gas to protest him
if your car don't run....then he only sees those who are carted in to greet him.

did you see his motorcade?.what 6 0r 7 cars...all that gas that could be used by people to run their generators...what a waste of fuel for a stupid photo-op.....I'm sure people resent that as I did last year when he paraded around florida touring and handing out ice..

10. NO. I think it will take a little more
I always wonder what will it take. I think it will take some of these laws that they have passed to go into effect, the effect will become noticeable through family, friends and neighbors.

7. So, is this the fed's fault or local government?
If it's local, it's Jeb! who fucked up, and if it's fed, it's g.w. for appointing incompetents to head FEMA. Who are they blaming now?

11. That's the thing about control freaks...
They like to spend all their time controlling others so that they don't have to think about controlling themselves or their families, which they often feel powerless to do.

12. In the case of natural disasters
it is the job of the Federal Government to provide safety and security, that includes ice and water, and getting the electric back on in a timely fashion. Why they don't put the lines underground is beyond me.

13. Ooo! I know that one!
They don't put the lines underground because of a number of reasons. One, some parts of Florida, particularly along the coast, are very near sea level. Putting lines underground would involve putting them in the groundwater in many cases. Two, Florida has a Very Shitty record of tracking anything underground. Contractors as well as private citizens routinely cut through pipes and lines underground. Some of it has to do with erosion and changes in topography, but much of it is incompetence, bad or falsified record keeping and a good measure of the confusion and inefficiency of privatization. Because of these reasons, three, it costs more to put them underground.

14. They can put anything they want underground in FL
all our water and sewer lines are underground.

I live in FL, the electric on my property is underground. It's not that hard to do and it sure costs less then replacing the overhead equipment everytime we get a bad storm.

I wasn't saying they couldn't do it, just why they don't.

16. Here's the Prez begging for help: SEND FOOD TO FLORIDA! yours, GWB
"We have basically made a call out to the rest of the United States of America for a short period of time, anybody who's got water, ice or some version of a MRE (meals ready to eat), we would take everything they've got," Bush said

What the hell is that all about? Are they trying to feign that they can be just as incompetent serving a Repub state as a Democratic state?

I have to rub my eyes lately--actually since the 5-4 vote in 2000--and wonder if this is not a nightmare.
