These indictments finally popping up everywhere...how much, if at all,
do you think Howard Dean had to do with getting the ball rolling on these? He's a fighter, but is there anything that he could have done to bring evidence to light? Or is his function merely economic or fundraising?

I guess I'm just curious as to how party chairmanships work and what their responsibilities are.

1. I think that there are just still enough honest law men/women out there
who are doing their jobs

3. I think you're probably right...
I just basically am wondering what the party chair's job description is, I guess.

5. I agree... I don't believe this is political at all.
The Bushies have simply broken the law, over and over again -- and Plame is just the tip of the ice berg. Or maybe just one ice berg broken off from a glacier of wrongdoing.

I read an amazing article in the latest Harpers about torture. The Bushies' decision to break -- to simply disregard -- international law was deliberate and blatant. As the author of the articles states, the US goverment now condones actions that the Allies hanged Nazis and Japanese commanders for. This should be the next subject for an investigation.

2. He had nothing to do with it

& I am a big Dean fan.

This is the judiciary at work, not the legislative or political.

For that matter, the Democratic party didn't have anything to do with it.

This will impact the political arena, but it is a different arena.

4. What? Baking powder?
Dean is a fine DNC chair, but I assure you he had nothing to do with this.
