Chris Matthews : "Bush either knew or he didn't know"...
...about what was going on with Rove and Libby and Cheney. If he did know, he's part of the coverup and lies. If he did not know, then the question is 'why not'? He should have known what is going on in his own White House....Either way, it's a lose-lose for Dubya Bush...

1. Chris will find a way for him not to know.
Then everything will be alright.

24. No kidding. Between Tweety and his Bushloving brother, they'll find a way.
Tweety's brother is a GOPer who plants all Bush's talking points for the RNC with Tweety.

Tweety thinks his brother's just an average guy on the street viewpoint.

4. But if he didn't know that he knew
then there was no conscious intention to commit a booboo and he must be held legally blameless and harmless.

5. He knew. Idiot staff told of him "chastising" Rove.
If he chastised Rove for this, how did he not know? Not sure it will matter. If the Special Prosecutor indicts, he will be trashed so bad it will make John Kerry and Richard Clarke's treatments look like endorsements.

6. I really think Bush will NOT make it to 08
wishful thinking perhaps but something tells me the guy just won't complete his term. I think it's going to be really bad for him.

13. All during this past primary season
I had the feeling that Bush would get in again, but not finish out his term. Don't know why, and of course I assumed wishful thinking, but I still have the same feeling. He will go down in even bigger flames than Nixon. Because he is a bigger crook.

10. Wow! If he loses Chris, he's finished
Edited on Thu Oct-27-05 04:21 PM by Catrina
Last night, while he slammed Cheney, Chris was still clinging to the notion that Bush was 'noble' at times!! I laughed my head off, he looked like a little boy who might be about to lose all his toys.

But he's right, he gets it. Either Bush was part of the lies, or he was a total brain-dead, disconnected from the reality that the millions of people he called a 'focus' group were aware of, moron. Must be sad realization for CM, to let go of his cult-like attachment to this useless, incompetent and dangerous man he still thinks of as 'noble'.

I really wonder about these news media people. How on earth do they get these jobs. They're either totally naive and gullible and part of the propaganda machine by accident, or part of the propaganda machine by design.

12. Bush was on Air Force 1 when the memo was being discussed...
either he was asleep or in the bathroom for the entire flight to not know. It also makes so much sense to me that no one let him in on the memo. They don't even perceive him as being in charge so why discuss anything with him.

article:

"An angry President Bush rebuked chief political guru Karl Rove two years ago for his role in the Valerie Plame affair, sources told the Daily News."

he chirps and twitters and waltzes back and forth with ideas to fill that precious time slot with nothing but some flying feathers, his own.

Yet you sit there like it's all been a mystery, even though you happen to be one of the 6 journalists who Cheney leaked the name to!

33. Fact is, Bush didn't care if he was advised by felon every goddam morning.
THAT'S why Bush wouldnt' have known. He didn't care enough about the concept of a national security leaker to ask.

Now, the real question is, what kind of man sits behind the Great Seal of the President and DOESN'T CARE about whether there is a felon in the room?

35. Actually, I think things have to be this simple for people to understand.
And should we attack the idea, rather than the person? Because if the person is a piece of shit, then so are all his ideas?

36. Duh, nothing like Chris Matthews stating the obvious. I mean
you only have two choices there. He either knew or he didn't know. I would be willing to bet he thinks he has said something profound there. What an idiot.
