Online charitable fundraising done "properly"? Advice solicited. |
|
Hey, folks!
You all know the grief we ran into when we raised money for the late Andy Stephenson.
I have been asked by the operators of another Liberal forum how to go about raising money for one of their long-time posters "properly".
So I am asking for advice.
Is there a right way to do this that will avoid the intervention of evil people that our fundraiser drew to Andy?
Should a trust be established?
Any knowledgeable advice gratefully received.

I know that e-bay has a charitable giving sale section. You need to be non-profit and then people can donate items to be sold for your cause. They even have a section for sellers to donate a portion of their profits to various organizations.
