It is about the "stupid"war (as I think history will come to know it),
And I am so tired of getting my butt kicked by these a-holes.

Probably the best papers I have read condeming this war were written by conservatives. The one true thing us liberals and thoughtful conservatives really do agree on is the utter stupidity of the war.

I am a Clark person. I think his writtings and speeches probably saved us from a third world war - I do. Made a lot of people think hard about what was coming. Republicans and Democrats alike.

We have to unite now. If we do not, I think a lot of our kids are going to die. That SOB may be down, but this isn't over, not by a long shot.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

We have to think that way here. Fiscal issues can be resolved. Dead kids - that cannot. We have too many dead kids now. And it could get so much worse.

It is about the war - and we have friends.

Joe

1. Welcome to DU, Joe
I like Clark alot, and think he's an important part of the plan going into 2008. Dr. Dean also has a key role to play.

As for the 'invasion,' I think an immediate withdrawl is the only answer. Never in 1000 years will anyone crate a 'democracy' in Iraq. Not gotta happen! And investigating HOW we got to 'war' is also important. I sense the worm is turning!

I'd vote for Howard Dean in a second.

4. What happens when,
The political scales tip to the extension of war. When it becomes politically advantageous to extend war to keep republicans in power.

That SOB only exists in power to the extent he can "sell" war.

And he is definately a "salesman"

This isn't over. I do not trust the SOB as far as I can throw him.

He really did use war for political gain - what makes you think he won't do it again??

SO, the enemy of my enemy - we NEED TO TALK HERE.

Joe

6. Maybe,
But that SOB has the codes to the nuclear weapons.

And he is a "real christian" -

I have this pet theory, that wars for us grow in multiple tens--meaning the next WW, we are looking at deaths of about 600 million, world wide.

So, how much does this "real christian" believe in armageddon.

You know, somewhere on the plains of madego, in isreal -

I think he may be insane - and I do not think we can afford to be wrong.

I am Catholic, I have read Revelations - I think he may believe it, literally. You ought to read the book - it kind of struck me as written by someone on LSD on a very bad trip.

Those kids in our army - truly - just little kids. How many "kids" have to die here. You ought to go to a graduation from basic and look in those eyes.

This isn't over, not by a longhsot. I do not care if it may be repugs or dems that may lead us away from this current path, as long as someone does.

Joe

7. Fitz has a place in history
If he brings about justice and truth. If he does not, I fear the future and that we are lost.

Stolen elections, corporate power, and throwaway citizens (or is it consumers?). They will never be brought down without a civil war. :( I fear the future.
