I'm no Costner fan, but they look very similar to me.

Any other casting decisions?

2. I think Costner is too old
but I can't think of anyone else right off.

But we know Bonzo the Chimp will find work again!

13. Did "too old" stop Steve Martin from casting himself opposite Clare Danes?

11. yeah, Costner if you want someone with flat affect.
Totally flat afflect. Has ruined several movies that might have been okay without it. Worst. Actor. Ever.

12. Oh yes!
They do look a lot a like. Costner just needs glasses. And he knows how to play a prosecutor. Remember the JFK movie.

Sorry...I've had to "suffer through" Costner too many times.

Let's let the Coen Brothers pick a great "unknown."

24. Wouldn't he be better used as our Irving?
Edited on Thu Oct-27-05 08:09 PM by kenny blankenship
Aka "scooter" Libby? Needs a wig. But he always needs a wig.
We need someone for Libby who can be arch and cold and superior--an American Jeremy Irons only not so tall or slow of speech. Now Fitzgerald on the other hand should be played by someone who is of no intrinsic screen interest whatever. He should be bland and button-down and whitebread and boring.

25. Russell Crowe for Fitz
and before you gag, remember that Crowe did a brilliant job of playing the big tobacco whistle blower in "The Insider". Crowe is one of those actors who becomes the character and transforms himself physically into the character.

28. TOM HANKS, clearly!
HE'S the one who looks like Fitz! That photo you posted has Fitz looking VERY Hanksian. Tom could play the buttoned-down, honest Fitz very well!

I liked Costner in The Untouchables, and other movies, but really people, this one is a no brainer!
