My bet: Rove made a deal to keep his...
...pasty white ass out of jail by fingering someone else -- someone higher up.

The "continued investigation" is not of Rove, but of whoever he turned on to save himself.

Remember, eight secret pages. Eight secret pages. It ain't over till the fat lady sings, and we haven't heard a peep out of Darby Rove yet.

This is, as George Galloway said, "merely the end of the beginning."

1. Cheney and Bush are the only "higher ups".

2. I think that was originally a Churchill quote...
But, go figure, Galloway can sure use it if he wants!

4. Chimpy must be protected at all costs--
the Boy King has always been protected from criticism. Think about it.

We have the "aide" to LIbby, on one hand, and Chimpy's "architect" on the other.

Which one do you think this administration would be initially willing to sacrifice?

The investigation continues... ;-)

9. Aaron Brown just said that Rove
will not be indicted tomorrow, but that the investigation will continue. I wonder if when Fitzgerald met with his lawyer, they told him Rove needed time to help Bush get his act together, and Fitzgerald agreed to wait? Could that happen legally?

I don't know where Aaron Brown got that information, but that's what he said. He also said the Libby was likely to be indicted.

Now I just heard that two newspapers have conflicting stories on the Rove indictment. I wonder where the NYT would get that information? Maybe from Rove's lawyers! I guess he did make a deal. That probably means he is squeeling on someone else, because we know he lied to the GJ.

15. They sacrificed Libby rather than Rove--for now.
Rove=Chimpy.

Libby=Cheney.

I believe it's that simple.

5. Yesterday, an article said he was offered a deal but turned it down.
I read that somewhere, here on DU. It seems that every article says something that conflicts with every other article. We'll just have to wait and see, I guess. What a pisser, huh?

12. Far, far from over.
If the story is accurate, it means Fitz saw bigger issues at hand and decided to extend the GJ proceedings.

10. What if Fitz is giving him a pass on Plame -- to squeal on Ledeen
Edited on Thu Oct-27-05 10:16 PM by Zen Democrat
and the Niger forgeries?

Personally, I would be disappointed if Fitz limited this investigation to the CIA leak -- there's so much more. Ledeen is an avowed fascist revolutionary. Google his book "Universal Fascism" that he wrote in 1972. That he has been Karl's foreign policy advisor tells much.

What if Rove told about Cheney and Cheney will turn in Bush to get back? Now that would be good!
