Who leaked to the NYTimes?
Since the grand jury has been airtight up to this point, who would have leaked at the last minute? Is it possible the Times was simply trying to be first and broke the most likely scenario, rather than anything they might know for real.? Who took Judy Miller's place??

3. Luskin and Libby's attorney (Tate?) are likely guesses.
That's why I'm waiting for the news conference tomorrow.

4. Bits and pieces are all over the place and they all conflict.
Kind of make me wonder if that's the strategy.

6. LUSKIN
the LA Times piece shows exactly why he would do it too. he hasn't been notified of Rove's legal jeopardy, so he went ahead and leaked to the Times that Rove was unlikely to be indicted.

15. Luskin's been telling people Rove hasn't received a target
letter, trying to create the appearance that Rove won't be indicted. But that could be a lie of omission, since the notification could have been verbal.

7. I dunno, but the AP article says this:
A person outside the legal profession familiar with recent developments in the case said Thursday night that Rove's team does not believe he is out of legal jeopardy yet but likely would be spared bad news Friday when the White House fears the first indictments will be issued.

Not a defense lawyer then, so who knows.
