Only under one scenario could the Times story be true about Rove |
|
That is if he made a deal and his lawyer was told that there would be no announcment of charges for the present time pending Rove's cooperation with Fitz.
If Rove was offered a deal but did not take it there is no way in hell that any prosecutor would call Rove's lawyer to tell him he was not going to be indicted. He'd make them sweat it out.
So either Rove is going to be indicted tomorrow or he has made a deal and will bring more of them down and maybe for more serious charges. In either case I will not complain.

My guess is the NYT has a source closer to libby. If they get something wrong I think it would be about rove. If nbc comes up with a story about rove getting indicted I would believe it.

He's not getting off scot-free in this. He's either singing to reduce his indctment charges or he's going to be indicted.

3. If Rove made a deal, I don't see how he could continue working in WH |
|
Once the details of the deal come out

4. Then look for him to get "sick" |

and require, for health reasons of course, a "leave of absence" from the WH until he has to testify, at which time he would resign, doing it in increments for less damage.

At the very least, it's too big of a distraction for them. He's either going to resign or take a leave of absence, never to return.
