Even If Rove Isn't Indicted But The Investigation Is Continued.....
Rove should resign his post at the WH. We can't have a person so high up the food chain in this administration under suspicion. How can * justify not firing him or not accepting his resignation?

1. * justifies nothing
are you crazy? he doesn't care... Heck if he were indicted he probably still wouldn't fire him.

3. "When someone shows you who they are, believe them".
That's a quote from Maya Angelou. They've been showing us who they are since 2000. This isn't the 1970's--it's a whole new breed of slime. They can influence any prosecutor in the country to escape judgment.

6. Why are you running all over the board posting this pessimism??
Why? I've seen 2 or 3 people try to explain to you why this isn't nearly as bad as you are letting on, but you don't want to hear it. This isn't bad. They have not won. Stop trying to hand them a victory they don't own.

8. Fine. In two months, PM me....
Unless we realize the level of corruption this government has sunk to, we can't even begin to to anything about it. If we're going to be happy with little victories that mean absolutely nothing, then they'll be successful in "humoring" us. That's all this is. I have my own opinion.
Don't bite my head off for expressing it.

10. You're bringing people down for no good reason.....
Edited on Fri Oct-28-05 08:21 AM by converted_democrat
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but you need to be able to defend it, and back it up. Your not doing that, you're just whining. This isn't over yet, and you're ready to hand in the chips. You say the sky is falling. Why is it falling? Explain to me your position. Explain to me why I should give up, like you want to do.

11. Like I said,
In a few months, PM me. If it turns out I'm wrong, you can say I TOLD YOU SO and I'll say; "You were right and I was wrong". You can say "YOU WERE BRINGING PEOPLE DOWN FOR NO REASON" and I'll say "YES, I was, you were right and I'm sorry". However, I don't expect that to happen. There comes a time when you have to stop cheerleading long enough to accept reality.

2. Nope. If Rove isn't indicted, he's staying.
These people don't have any sort of nobility in them.

4. The only way that Rove can get away with not getting indicted
is if he's cooperating. If he's cooperating, he might as well be dead. Rove is going to come down with a severe case of plague soon.

5. There's a culture of corruption in the White House
And these crooks would rather have
an old fashioned shoot-out with the cops
than surrender. They truly are the bad guys.

7. Well, at the very least he'll be under such scrutiny that he will need
to curtail his dirty tricks.

9. That fact that he is still being investigated is great.
That means that there is stuff there to get him with that hasn't been fully explored yet.
