People - what part of "the investigation is continuing" did you miss?
You're Rove. Or Bush. Or Cheney.

The mess is finally coming to an end. You can "clean house" and get back to screwing America.

Then, you hear the words - "the investigation is continuing."

Somebody has turned. The SP needs more time now, to dig even deeper.

You look at the person on your right. Then your left. Who squealed?

Trust vanishes. Secrecy times 100 is the order of the day. Mistakes get made, as you try and hide from each other while pretending you're not.

What does he know? It gnaws at you.

"The investigation is continuing." If you are Bush, or Rove, or Cheney you NEVER want to hear those words.

Never.

1. It doesn't hurt to believe that.
In Bush's America, however, that's only a fantasy.

4. Bush isn't the one in charge here.
Fitzgerald is.

12. Exactly -- a Saturday Night Massacre WOULD destroy *
No, it would. They have no control over the grand jury -- a very Democratic, minority-filled DC grand jury..... * and KKKarl's biggest fear. They have no control over anything right know -- Fitzgerald and the GJ does. Hehehehhehehehhehehe.....

9. Republican Spin and truth are mutually exclusive. UNDER INVESTIGATION
is not a good thing for Bush, no matter what his fantasy

I'm sorry you're not getting what you wanted, but this isn't over yet. I don't know what you think you are accomplishing by running thread to thread saying the sky is falling. They have not won anything... stop trying to convince them they have.

6. You are, of course, correct.
I think that some here suffer from some weird form of battered spouse syndrome.

7. a continuing investigation is going to be a thorn in their sides
for a longer time. It will be a festering pain for even longer.

I'm sure the news media will miss this- after the announcement today. They'll be "celebrating" with Bush about the 1 indictment of Libby (if that is what happens).

8. If you're going to take a shot at the king you got to be sure you hit him.
I'd rather have indictments that will hold up under trial and will not be easily dismissed.

10. That is what I have been trying to say. This does remind me of
past experiences on this board. People seem to get worked to a frenzy then dive to the pits of despair. There is MORE to come I believe.

13. That's not confirmed, yet, either.
It's all uncertain until the SP makes a statement.

At that time we will know something, but it is likely we won't know all that we would like to know.

14. You bet. Remember Watergate
It didn't come apart overnight either. The investigation has to keep picking away at the seams, opening up the mess one stitch at a time. With the depth of corruption and malfeasance in play here here that's going to take a while, though it could start to domino faster now that Fitzgerald has the background work done.
