Rove twisting in the wind is NOT GOOD for the White House. |
|
For all of you who say that the Bushies won today, just keep that in mind. I'm hearing more and more politicians and pundits say that this is NOT GOOD for the Bush administration, who had hoped that this would all be over today.
The Republicans have NOT "won," and I'm suspicious of any DUer who says that they have.

1. If they announce that Rove is still under investigation |
|
that is just one step under indictment. Until today, Rove hasn't even admitted to being a target. 'Under investigation' takes the whole thing up to a whole new level.

3. Rove is a larger beast than Libby. |
|
Methinks that if these rumors are true, Fitz needs to bolster his sources and cover his bases before indicting Rove, because there will be a lot of people challenging it. The case against Rove needs to be especially watertight.

4. Fools...It's A New Nightmare For Them |
|
If the rumors read accurate...which I doubt (I expect more suprises today...not sure what), Libby is indicted and Rove isn't off the hook...if anything he's on a bigger hook.
The indictment allows Fitzgerald now to move ahead and start the CRIMINAL proceedings on Libby and a trial that could being sometime next year. In the meantime, either the existing Grand Jury or a new one (my preference) will focus on not just Rove but all the other loose ends of this case...splitting this investigation into two. It'll be TWICE the nightmare for these assholes.
Let 'em spin today...any criminal investigation on this regime is a good thing. It opens the door for us to pry some truth out and then onto other investigation.
Today is just the start of this regime's worst nightmares.

5. OK, suspicious of what? |

It sure looks to me as if Rove got a free ride today, and he's guilty as hell.
So, if the Reeptiles have not won, then it's the kind of loss that means that everyone else loses worse.
The entire country and the world are sliding down a very dangerous slope leading to extinction of the human species, preceded by a steady decline in quality of life... in fact, the quality of life for billions has been worsening for a while and will continue to do so unabated as the world's population increases with no thought to what the developing world is doing to the climate and the environment while neglecting the billions that teem in squalor, poverty, and hunger. These are the people who can be used and abused at the expense of labor in the USA and Europe, thus continuing the decline of the good life and sense of security that once prevailed here.
The xtian rightwingers just don't have a clue what corporo-fascist policies mean in the real world. Their problem with gays and pro-choice women seem really petty and obstructionist compared to the problems caused by over-population, poverty, pollution, over-development and climate change.
All I hear from the rightwingers is that they support and trust Bush, that they are Republicans, and that they think somehow that left and liberal is bad. Not much thinking or grasp of information is shown at all. They simply do not think. I believe that they are so scared that their limbic system exists in constant override over their brains.
