Will Cheney now resign ?
Get away with all his money. No longer in the government, as the trial of Scooter Libby begins. Maybe he can move to another country?

He can say he's leaving for "health reasons". But will there ever be a better time for him to leave?

not to be the 'energizer bunny' and expire. That would be rapture to Bush.

4. He's too narcissistic to step down
The only way he'd leave is being taken away in handcuffs.

7. Only if he's implicated by the investigation.
His ego is far to big to back away just for the good of the Country or his Party.

8. It's a possibility
It depends on the ratio between crazy arrogance, party loyalty, and rational review of the situation. The Party Loyalty answer is he should already have stepped down so as to make room for a contender in 2008, and my take is that he has more than enough crazy arrogance to keep him around.

That said, he might get a clue. I doubt he'll have to leave the country; if he leaves office, Bush will do a preemptive Pardon.

That'd be a good name for a band "The Preemptive Pardons"

9. Could Chaney be indicted today? Perhaps the big surprise?
Did Rove flip Chaney for his own ass? As much as I want Rove to burn, that would be a grand Fitzmas.

18. For a real fantasy and setting history back on the correct course..
we'd have Gore as president and Kerry as vice to run after Gore's second term expires.

Now THAT'S a fantasy!

22. A case appears to be building that he is father of torture and Rumsfeld

his willing partner. I say they are the true CO-Presidents.

Rove works for them and 'manages' (pulls the strings of) George.

Let the torture issues come out.

If anyone believes that direction is coming from George, convince me.

The entire world is suffering from ths PNAC/Team 2 and the cabal who goes along with them, supports them, and has give permission to them.

At some point, suffering must end.

CNN (Time Warner), the NBCs (GE), FOX (Murdoch), ABC, CBS and all their stockholders must pay because they have gone along with Cheney-Rumsfeld. They ARE EQUALLY CULPABLE in the world that is suffering. Throw in NYT WP WT and all the other right wing rags.
