i would guess that many Americans don't know Rove from Libby from Adam, so *any* indictment should carry equal weight whether it be Rove or Libby.

I think the next level of explanation...that libby is only chief of staff for Cheney, is going to escape them as well, since everyone knows Cheney has an inordinate amount of influence. Cheney, remember, was one of the guys that Bush trotted out to calm people's fears about an inexperienced doof as president. The "brain trust" that was supposed to keep him out of trouble.

And included Colin Powell (resigned, disgraced), Rummy (handed in his resig, complete fool, fuckup).
