Anybody Think Libby Will Stay Quiet?
If he is the only one who gets it today, and it goes to trial, will he take the fall all alone?

I don't think so. He'll sing likke a bird.

1. I think it all depends on what alternatives Cheney has discussed
with him. Alternatives that may include discussions of kneecaps, rat shot, sulfuric acid baths, and Jim Hatfield.

2. I think he will
He works with these people; he knows what they're capable of. I think he'll take the fall and then get the pardon in '08.

3. Cheney but not Rove
I can seriously see him covering for Cheney to whatever extent is necessary, but I can't believe he will stay quiet about Rove's involvement in anything. It seems pretty clear from the "background noise" over the last week or so that he is where he is now because of Rove.

In my world "payback is a bitch".

6. Of course he will. As creepy as he is, he probably has a family

and their financial security is tied to his silence. The Bush family is very wealthy, and it's a pittance to "help" with Ole Scooter's family.....as long as he plays the put-upon loyal guy who 'took the fall'..If he starts blabbing, he still goes to jail, still loses his job/income, AND he's radioactive, so no one would hire him.. If he takes the Ollie North route, he will emerge a 'folk hero' of the right wingers.

14. Good Question

I have a couple in response:

1. Who is leaking? (Bet it isn't Fitz)
2. The press is getting conflicting reports/leaks. Which one is right?
Only the Fitz knows for sure.

P.S. Hi Wahoo!!!

9. Absolutely - just like Ollie North and G. Gordon Liddy
LOL! I typed in G. Gordon Libby - knew it looked wrong and couldn't figure out why - I actually had to google his name.

Libby... oh my, I need to relax.

10. Hmm...
His options include:

kneecaps, arms, plane crashes, for him and his family...

or a prison stay in club fed followed by a midnight pardon January 19, 2009.

11. Consider his relationship with Cheney
I've read that they have almost a father-son relationship. Cheney is his mentor, and he is fiercely loyal to Cheney. I wouldn't be surprised to see him suck it up and go to jail for Cheney. However, there's nothing like the prospect of prison to make one re-evaluate their commitments.

12. What's His Motivation To Talk?
A golden pardon is just around the corner. All he has to do is wait it out and go through the motions. This is nothing but an inconvenience to him (and he'll probably stay on the WH payroll.)
