24. Actually, I would think committing to a full report at this point

would be an indicator that Fitz is wrapping up---not really what I'm hoping for, myself.

My concern lately has been that Fitz conferred with McNulty and FBI and was warned-off going after the Italian/Niger angle. The FBI has been foot-dragging for two years on that case; it really seems like they are perhaps being "blocked" for National Security reasons from investigating fully. These sorts of blocks have been used in the past to prevent investigations of Saudi nationals, for instance.

So, if one hopes that Fitz will pick up the forgery thread and start pulling, then I think a public report at this point might be a negative indicator wrt that. OTOH, maybe that would be the only way to get around a block: force the issue by going public.

But, still, reports wrt investigations usually mean the action has come to a close.
