1. Hope you're right.
I think his tone and body language at the press conference will tell a lot about his feelings about the investigation (if it's serious, etc.).

2. I hope you're right, too. It seems a the repugs knew ahead of time
exactly what the charges would be. They have been using the, "Oh, if it's only a technicality charge like perjury, etc. etc." I'm disappointed, actually. I hope this is not all there is. Why didn't they charge him with leaking her name?

5. Maybe what they did
is they had two different statements ready for different outcomes. All they could do is just play it out like it's no big deal.

3. I agree 100%
This thing has only begun. This is opening salvo in a series of indictments which will eventually reach Dick Cheney.

4. I like the way this is happening.
Rove isn't off the hook, Libby is indicted, the investigation continues and this whirlwind of negativity will continue to swirl around the Republicans through the 2006 elections and beyond. And, who knows, bigger fish might fry.

8. Agreed. Fitz is after the biggies.
And Fox is reporting Rove gave some stuff up to stave off charges for now. Rove has to live under the threat of indictment and betrayal of his boy king. Just lovin' it because we now have a live 24/7 West Wing reality show!

9. The counts mention Cheney and an official.
I'd say they're shittin' all over themselves, right now.

10. I think you are right on!
This is the tip of the iceberg. With just what they laid out today they opened the door to everything. With the investigation to continue, I think several more people will be sucked in. I believe he will charge Scooter with more later too. Passing the info around on DE-PLANE, DE-PLANE is going to bite them bigtime IMO.

I can't wait to hear the details from Fitzgerald.

Bush's "political capital" is history!

12. This is so amazing.
I have the strangest mixed feelings of excitement and relief,...huge relief.

I must confess my persistent concern is that the neoconsters will go forward with their plans to expand the war in the Middle East.
