Bush's tissue of lies is unravelling. Since Libby lied, perjured and obstructed justice, (subject to conviction) he must have been covering up something very heavy, 25 years worth of heavy. This is not something little. He must have been highly motivated to cover up something really bad he did or something his higher ups did.

1. I had that thought too. To be indicted for obstruction of justice...
you have to be obstructing something. Next step is...what is that something?

2. Thank you.
That is the question that counts right now, isn't it? Libby left a huge trail that he didn't think would put him at risk when Ashcroft was running the show. And then he lied to the grand jury, even though he was aware of the chances of being caught. Why? What is he hiding?

3. Indictment may not directly lead to it, but there must be a huge backstory

6. I think that
Prosecutor Fitzgerald is going to talk in a few minutes. His presentation should give us an idea what direction he may be heading in.

Certainly there is enough information from what has been made public so far to get the House and/or Senate to take an interest. Especially in light of recent reports that Cheney may have withheld some documents from the senate regarding pre-war intelligence.

5. Big conspiracy
OOJ is inevitably a part of a conspiracy. With a fresh grand jury, Fitz is now free to pursue that conspiracy, and it will lead straight to Chimpy and Darth.

Get the beer and the  - this has only started! :woohoo:

7. i've read the entire indictment now and i think, well at least to me
that Cheney had Libby shopping around wilson and Plame to see what reporter would bite and it looks like Novak did, it reeks of conspiracy. I think this part was Libby's job, kneecapping Wilson in whatever manner they could.
