1. I am watching it

2. I'm in the UK - BBC Radio 5 did a decent job
They were providing background (Plamegate is pretty unknown here) but then they seemed to get bored & went on to other stuff.

I've currently got Channel 4 News on in the background, who aren't doing a great job IMO. They started well - "First indictment in 20 years / Cheney to testify" but then it's been downhill. They've messed up the coverage of the press-conference & they had an absolutely insane republican woman on (I guess all the relatively normal pugs are doing US TV) to rave about how this was all bull.

Still, details aside, this will lead British news for a while. It'll be interesting to see how the newspapers treat it tomorrow.

3. Wow.
I know Tony is still aligned with George, but I didn't know you had wackos they put on TV for bizarre talking points like over here.

5. I have no problem with getting a Republican on
to debate, but this woman was whacked. They rescued the thing at the end by having a two-way with the (British) American correspondent Jonathan Rugman who spelled out clearly & impartially exactly what was going down & what it meant for dubya.

The test of the BBC's steel will be how it handles the story on tonights "Newsnight"

4. Big coverage in Germany

it was the very first headline in the Tagesschau, the most important news program at 20:00 pm German time.

They know what's at stake.
