2. Mighta been, yup
When he said he was gonna put it in baseball terms, I expected some lame-ass "We want to hit a home run with this" or something. What he said told me he's not only a fan, he's a fairly knowledgeable one.

:applause:

3. I missed it, can you tell me what he said?
Everyone is talking about what a great analogy it was and I was on the phone with a client.

Thank you.

6. If a pitcher hit a batter in the face with a fastball...
Edited on Fri Oct-28-05 01:46 PM by ticapnews
You need to know why he did it. Was he upset because the batter hit two home runs earlier? Was it an accident? Did the ball slip? Did he mean to hit him in the back and the batter moved so it hit his face? Should the pitcher be ejected? Suspended? Banned? What was the pitcher thinking. Did he talk about it in the dugout beforehand? Was it premeditated?

On obstruction: This is what the umpire tries to figure out. Obstruction would be if someone threw sand in the umpire's eyes to prevent him from seeing what happened.

He later implied he hasn't brought more charges yet because the obstruction has prevented him from seeing everything he needs to see to bring those charges.

7. he gave a marvelous set of nuance as to whether a pitcher...
having 'beaned' a batter had done so on purpose, whether he had derogatory, referential statements specific to the batter while "in the dugout" (possible read there on other players ), only meant to graze the ball past the batters chin; or is indeed just a lousy pitcher that has nevertheless cause an injury. all of which delivered via baseball which he set up with a casual, to paraphrase...
