These reporters, some of them, give me the impression they're asking questions of Ken Starr. Fitzgerald is not going to go beyond the boundaries of law, he is not going to intimate or suggest information that leads to rampant speculation. He is not giving the press any fodder on which to chow down. On the flip side, the White House is not getting any clues on how they should proceed, either.
Fitzgerald is the most circumspect public figure I have ever witnessed. He's like a breath of cool fresh air in an otherwise polluted forum.
