What were you expecting today with the indictments ? |
|
I'm just curious; I was expecting one, maybe two false statement charges for Libby. I was amazed when I heard it was five.

keeping the investigation open, for sure!

I was hoping for Libby and Rove. I expected one or the other.
I was hoping for a treason indictment. I expected perjury or obstruction of justice.
I was hoping for at least two counts...5!

6. After the roller-coaster rumor week we've had I had no expectations |
|
anymore.
I am sooooo glad Libby is OUTTA HERE!!!!
They appointed another corrupt crony, and everyone is gonna know it.
The little cracks in the bushco facade have turned into HUGE FISSURES and they are impotent, evil chumps for the remainder of their term.
It was a good day :)

7. I was hoping for Rove, then.. |
|
I even went crazy and thought we might get Cheney in the future instead, and now I don't know if we will get anything but Libby.

8. from the news the last few days, |
|
I knew that Libby was the only one being hit. With what charges, I didn't think there would be 5 - I was happily surprised with that.
What has impressed me most is Fitzgerald's performance. There will be no smearing this man. His answers are spellbinding - his continual mentions of needing human intelligence, National Security being compromised, and how horrid the crime is to out an agent are stunning.
Joe Citizen will (and should) be outraged, if they had no opinon before.

9. I was not building up my hopes for anything really |
|
Didn't want to be let down.
I think part of our problem here is the need for a sort of instant gratification. I don't think Fitz is done. But this Jury had run its course. It sounds like if he wants to continue (and telling Rove he's still under investigation sure sounds like it) then it will have to be a new GJ.

10. Libby for sure on one charge, didn't expect 5. |
|
I was really hopeful that they might get Rove on one as well. I'm really happy that they have Libby on five, I really despise him, among the quietest and nastiest of all the Bush scumbags, may he rot in hell.
In my dreams I had Libby, Rove and Bolton charged with stuff and if I was really fantisizing Dirty Dick was in the mix too.

11. I was expecing to hear from Fitz. Nothing more or less. Hoping, OTOH... |
|
I was hoping for rock solid indictments on:
karl, dick, scooter, karen, condi, rummy, wolfie, hadley, frist, delay, hastert, santorum, cornyn, rush, o'reilly, coulter, etc etc etc.
But I'm way too realistic to have expected anything. Fitz will do what he does - he's good - but he's not going to show his cards until he has to. Like I've seen mentioned here before, I would NOT want to play poker against this guy.

|
LOL. Celebrating Fitzmas was great, even though my expected gift was not delivered. Hate to say it, but I think Fitz's news today is kind of a dud and I think he wants to end the investigation with Libby and go home.

15. I wanted Rove to be charged. Reading about his evil political |
|
'tricks' against decent human beings, has caused me extreme grief, and cynicism. There are several historical events that have caused me to weep unabahedly, the most obvious being the crimes against humanity by HItler. Rove shares with Hitler precisely that kind of callous cruelty. I hate him. And I hate hating anyone! I hope he and Cheney ROT. Libby is an underdog.

much more. I didn't hear his press conference, I have not yet read the indictment document. But Libby all by himself, just wasn't enough. Libby under indictment won't bring down the Bush cabal. And our only hope as a society is bringing the cabal to justice.
