1. That's normal. He won't be spending any time in jail right now
so he'll just go before the judge for an arraignment. And he's gotta get in front of the magistrate somehow. I'll guess the press will catch that on film.

3. That is the way it is done at that level.
The so called "perp walk" with handculffs and all of that is only used when there is a possibility that the accused may flee, or may physically resist. Everybody knows that Libby won't take off running, or try to punch anybody. So papers are delivered to the attorney of record and an appointment is made with a judge.

Works the same when high level Democrats are indicted too. (And we have had our share of guys to screw up too.)

6. Standard procedure in longterm investigations
and yes even in non white collar type investigations. Nothing should be read into this.
