Disappointed with Libby only?
People HE RESIGNED. HE was CHENEY's (mr. Evil himself's) right hand man. The first neo-con cracked. Smile. I want Rove as much as anyone. I remain steadfast that this isn't the end of the investigation. But score 1 for the good guys. Last time this happened must have been that other century (sigh oh sigh) before this plague upon us.

1. I'm not disappointed at all....This has broken the swagger of this
administration. They won't be able to "cook up" a reason to go to Syria without severe public backlash....I am a happy girl today,.

3. I'm not upset, for one thing, Rove isn't done yet.
And I hope the press keeps asking what sent us to WAR!!!

4. I'm disappointed
Two years and only a perjury charge? Cheney is in the middle of this entire fiasco and he is apparently not going to be prosecuted. Strange.

13. I know me too
Honestly, without CHENEY we know it's missing the true ringleader. BUT..they have been touched by a smattering of justice. Justice..the pursuit of truth..as Fitzgerald said so eloquently to a reporter's question-" Yes this is a serious betrayal of the public's trust."

5. And if there is a trial
All the smarminess and evilness, etc, of this administration will come out. If you're old enough, you'll remember when Nixon was forced to make public the transcripts of his secret tapes. None of that data dump contained the "smoking gun" (that came later), but it contained enough sleaziness to make even Republicans sick to their stomach.

7. The entire WH is radioactive now
Every one of them does just as much or more damage by staying in their jobs.

I'm not at all disappointed. BushCo is over. Sure they'll continue to try to screw us, but it'll now be in the context of weakness and a press and citizenry who doesn't trust them at all.

10. I'm happy, not disappointed, and I expect more may happen later on as
this investigation is not over and a trial could really blow the lid off a lot of the junta's mess.

11. And investigation continues.
This is *not* a matter that concerned only Libby. Fitz is not tipping his hand on what will happen next, other than the fact that Libby will go to trial on these charges.

He continues his misdirection by minimizing conjectures on what he is doing next. All DUers need to understand that Fitz is not going to help us understand whether or not more indictments are coming. He is purposefully vague on this matter. He could go to jail if he spoke of it.

I cannot stand it when DUers interpret this as "NO MORE INDICTMENTS" or the "ROVE"S GONNA GET AWAY". etc.

We just don't know.

But one thing *is* important. Why keep the investigation going if there's not going to be more indictments?

12. Thought it might be just one charge
But Fitzgerald really piled them on so Im pleased.Just guessing but it sounds like he will try to get Scooter to perhaps turn on Rove.

Fitzgerald might of held off because Rove is an even bigger fish and closer to the President and wants to be sure he has an airtight case before he hands down more indictiments.Thats what Im hoping for anyway.

20. A Doors lyric comes into my mind

We want the world and we want it NOW. (I guess it's the Du'ers motto)

No one has less patience than I, but consider the alternative- a year ago we were told this investigation was about finished and we assumed dead. Now it's not even complete and we got a resignation out of it.

21. First White House official since Orville E. Babcock to be indicted!
Orville E. Babcock was indicted in December of 1875!

Irv was the first WH official indicted in nearly 130 years!

24. No, I'm still good
Because they may be able to get the extension to go to a second grand jury, in which case we may see more. In any event, even just this one has to be so horrific for the B*** cabal that it may well cause much more in terms of shake-ups than we think.
