The Fox Legal Expert... the judge, says the Libby indictment is... |
|
"forceful". He says the Prosecutor has a very strong case and has no reason to accept a short prison term in a plea-bargain.
In other words, unless Libby sings he is going to jail for a long, long time.

6. this is the RW strategy |
|
Make it all about Scooter - throw him to the wolves - anything to avoid talking about the larger picture, i.e. a war that has cost thousands of lives that was totally based on lies.

8. If that was the strategy they would have fired him not accept resignation |
|
But not firing him and saying nice things about him is perhaps an attempt to keep Scooter from turning on them.

You don't fire him and you publicly honor his service, i.e., " ... Cheney issued a statement saying he had accepted Libby's resignation "with deep regret." He added that Libby was entitled to a presumption of innocence in the case and praised his longtime aide as "one of the most capable and talented individuals I have ever known."
If Cheney was without guilt himself, he would have fired and rebuked the SOB. Without a doubt, Libby is his cover - his alibi.

3. That'd be a tough break. |
|
And when I say tough break I mean immensely satisfying. A long prison term is exactly what is called for I. Lewis "Traitor" Libby.

5. If Libby decides to plea |
|
he can't get it down to anything small. Even if he stikes a plea and testifies against others, he has to serve prison time. Not jail time, like Miller did. Prison time.

9. I know the "Judge" and he is no expert on this |
|
He was a judge in Bergen County, NJ for all of 5 years, never prosecuted or defended a criminal case in his life and was mostly assigned to divorce and tenancy cases, plus some criminal cases but not heavyweight stuff.
These guys they trot out as "experts" should be taken with a grain of salt.
