So, there I was, stuck in my cube this afternoon -- not realizing that the IT guy had disabled audio/streaming and video on all the ofice computers. (Except his, probably.) Grrrrr. I didn't have my DU password with me, so I just had to lurk.

The clock is ticking. . . Pat's on his way to the podium and I'm in deep space where no one can hear me scream. Then, skinner comes to the rescue! I follow all six threads feverishly -- when someone says, "he (Fitz) sounds like John Cusack," I'm like, oh, OK. Then when someone else says she wants to "wake up in his bed in Chicago," I'm thinking, well, girlfriend, we'll have to flip a coin.

SERIOUSLY, when I read the transcript in the NYT, I could not believe it. You guys covered that press conference LINE BY LINE.
