Who else here thinks Rover wasn't indicted because he's already turned?
What makes anyone think he hasn't already made a deal?

Remember, the trial phase hasn't even started yet. The prosecutor is under no obligation to reveal who his star witnesses will be.

I think Hadley and Rover are going to be making a lot more trips back to the Prettyman Federal Court Building in the coming months.

Rover barked, and will be testifying at the trial(s) of others. Does anyone here have reason to believe otherwise?

2. Something I Heard on NPR Today Made Me Think
that Fitzgerald was ready to indict Rove, but that Rove's lawyer made a last-minute intervention to put Rove's testimony in an ambiguous light. Fitzgerald could not be sure of getting a conviction, and withdrew the Rove indictment until he was sure he had the goods. I fully expect Rove to be indicted. I have no idea when.

9. I'm with you. Rove will turn on all the others to protect Bush and himself
and the others have already gotten the message that THEY better lie down and take whatever incoming fire there is.....including Cheney.

Bushes put up the requirement long ago....you will only be brought on the team if you're willing to lay down on the grenade for them.

3.  I think Rove is just digging a deeper hole.
Fitz had to go out and buy a new flashlight to see down to the bottom.

5. I'm wondering if there's an indictment under seal
and Karl is doing some bargaining to lessen the charges. Hmm, what could he have to offer...?

11. This is what many prosecutors do...

The grand jury may very well have approved more than one indictment, and Fitzgerald yesterday asked the judge to seal the ones he wasn't ready to talk about this afternoon.

Edited on Fri Oct-28-05 04:58 PM by emulatorloo

7. While I think Rove would sell out his own mother to save his hide....
....I don't think any amount of squealing on his part is going to spare him from indictment. I still expect Fitzgerald to charge him.

a likely scenario.
