I used to be angry. Now it is funny as hell.
From 2000 until Katrina, I was angry. Angry with the Republicans for lying right to our faces and acting as though we were too stupid to see it. Angry with the Democratic leaders for now having the balls to stand up to the Republicans and refute their lies.

Now I see that now matter what the Republicans do, they can get away with it. I see that now matter how much we may believe that our media pundits might really be coming back around to being neutral in reporting the news, that they remain firmly in the rw camp.

So, I found out today that I no longer really care. I don't give a fcuk that Libby is indicted and Rove is not. I don't care that it is apparent that Cheney was implicated in Treasongate yet everyone is terrified of him like he was the monster in some fairytale. I just don't give a fat fcuk anymore.

Sell America out. Give it away. Let people walk instead of drive because gas costs so much. Let their stomachs growl. Let their children lack education because public schools become a thing of the past. I watch citizens who are interviewed on tv and they don't even know what is going on with this investigation. They will begin to care about what is happening TODAY, in 2008 - always too late. But, who cares?

1. Welcome aboard.
I still care, but I know there's nothing we can do about it until 2008 at the earliest. It's sad, but true.

2. Dammit, how many times do I have to say it?
Fuck 2008... It is VASTLY more important to take control of Congress back from the Republicans than it is to win the White House in '08. With a Democratic majority, we can take these bastards to task before then and seriously clean house.

I'd prefer people would just pretend there IS no '08 coming...if only to get them to concentrate on the important side of things. A Democratic majority in Congress is a thousand times more vital to our survival as a country than who's in the White House.

The downhill slide started when the Republicans took control...we need to take it back.

3. I'm just here for the show
As long as rhetoric can get soldiers to point guns at me at the command of a reigning regime, I have no power (forget not Kent State). So if you can't beat 'em, enjoy 'em.

4. I have felt that way since the 2004 election. But thought there was
light at the end of the tunnel with this grand jury, Now I am totally ready to give up hoping the extreme RW will be called to account for how they have raped this country for their on benefit.

Our "free press" is corrupt and cowardly.

The Democratic Party is ineffectual.

Finally, perhaps most importantly, we do not have the ear of America 24/7 like the neo-cons, Evangelicals and extreme right wing of the conservatives do to get our case out.

I am so down, I just don't care anymore.

5. I feel very much the same
I feel these pigs will eventually cut my disability and what rigmarole health care I can get. My days are numbered. I have no hope. I am surrounded by bystanders and enablers of abusers. And when my safety net gone, I have no more future,Fuck this world. Fuck the rich. Fuck god, fuck everything that is.FUCKITALL. I never wanted to be born and especially born into THIS.Yet here I am seeing everything turn to shit because I wasn't Born into a rich family.
How long have I got until they destroy the social safety net to line their own fat pockets, starve me ,scapegoat me or murder me because I can't believe in their sick god and stop being transgender and act how they want me to,and lie about my own sense of self?
I know now that most of america that has a voice at all is made up of self absorbed fools, patsies, religious nuts, pathetic sheep, bystanders enablers, sycophants, toadies or perpetrators of abuse and all manner of disgusting things..I am scared and ashamed of too much of this country. And I hate feeling this way,and I hate the criminal cabal in the WH...But what can I do,I am a nobody.A "useless eater" to these sick greedy control freaks.
