Investigation to continue with a new grand jury!
Edited on Fri Oct-28-05 05:22 PM by eowyn_of_rohan
pat_k posted this in breaking news but it is so important I didn't want anyone to miss it who is only checking this board:

"...Fitzgerald's spokesman, Randall Samborn, said the investigation will continue but with a new grand jury. The term of the current grand jury cannot be extended beyond today...."

3. When was this. Are you sure that this is not old news, because I've
heard and inferred that there would be a continuing investigation, but no new GJ.

Sorry if it is already old news to some. REgardless, it ought to give hope to those who are disappointed by the fact only Libby was indicted.

5. This is what was posted ealier today
But you are right, there hasn't been a new GJ asked for yet. Fitz said he could call for one if he needed to, that it was common practice to keep one open in any case, at this stage.

7. this link/report is from before the press conference, BUT
Fitzgerald did say that it continues .. and at some point, said that he can't bring indictment w/o a grand jury (in response to question re: grand jury), but declined to go further.

6. Makes sense. If obstruction of justice and perjury are occuring by at
least one person it makes the whole investigation lack total truth. They might find out more evidence against others if Libby rolls.
