Has anyone noticed Bush's lack of empathy for Libby?
If one of my key members of staff were indicted I'd be a little dismayed. Not Bush. He appears to be simply glad he doesn't have to move on without Rove. I don't think he gives a damn about Libby, other than a likely pardon.

The man is... who the man is. It will only get worse for him. With Rove at his side, he might as well ride that Fast Train to Hell. Rove has been a failure at his job for the last 2-3 years.

The inability to empathize is one of the defining characteristics of a SOCIOPATH.

Reassuring, isn't it? :sarcasm:

2. Why the surprise...
Empathy is not a characteristic Boy George has for anyone except himself.

Just keep repeating..."a failed presidency..."

4. He is just distancing himself from the fray...
since he has had enough trouble lately. I can not wait to see his poll numbers over the next week. I bet they go down. If you lie down with pigs you will get up smelling like one. He can not escape it now.

9. you took the words right out of my mouth!
Or right off of my keyboard, as it were.
I truly believe this man has no conscience, I sometimes question whether or not he even 'gets it' half the time. He's a dope - AND a sociopath - dangerous combination if you ask me.

6. Could be Bush 43 realizes how much
Libby contributed to his problems and wishes he would have remembered what Libby did to his father. From Juan Cole on Salon. You have to watch an ad to read it all.

The leader of the team was Libby, Cheney's chief of staff. Libby had studied at Yale with Paul Wolfowitz, who brought him to Washington. He co-authored a hawkish policy document with Wolfowitz in the Department of Defense for its head, Dick Cheney, after the Gulf War in 1992. When it was leaked, it embarrassed the first President Bush. Libby was a founding member of the Project for a New American Century in 1997 during the Clinton years, when many neoconservatives were out of office. The PNAC attempted to use the Republican-dominated Congress to pressure Clinton to take a more belligerent stance toward Iraq, and it advocated significantly expanding military spending and using U.S. troops as "gendarmes" in the aftermath of wars to "shape" the international security environment . .

8. He's written off an expendable asset.
It's not like Libby was a PERSON, after all. Not like he was a LOYAL SUPPORTER. I mean, Libby might have been that before he got indicted and turned into a LIABILITY. However, once indicted Bush must sadly bid farewell to Mr. Albatross.

Buh Bye, Scoots.
