When Will Libby's Trial Begin? |
|
For those who have followed Fitz's prosecutions in Illinois, how long after his GJ indictments does a trial typically commence?

2. When will he be in custody? |
|
Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. We have to give Ms. Miller time to write about the lovely aspens to her jailbird friend now that the roles are reversed.

5. He won't be arrested. He won't be in jail until convicted. |

3. After his plea deal, he won't be going to trial |
|
Rove, Cheney, Hadley, and a bunch of others will.

4. Ryan's trial was delayed until after the 2004 election. |
|
Could Libby's be delayed until after the 2006 election? The trial would be hanging over the repukes' heads during the election. Maybe that will cause them to press for a quicker trial.

6. So maybe repukes can delay the trial till after 2006 election, but |
|
bet they can't delay a civil suit by the Wilsons. While the trial of THAT would take a while, there would meanwhile be discovery--which would be chock-full of facts, or, if stonewalled, would make the administration look really bad.
That could go on throughout the election season.
I'm not sure Libby's federal trial could be delayed long enough to be after the 2006 elections. Federal trials are notoriously SWIFT.

8. OTOH, they may delay and try to run the clock out again... |
|
This investigation was hanging over their heads throughout the '04 campaign and didn't make much of a difference, Diebold notwithstanding. Remember in the summer of '04 how we were eagerly awaiting and anticipating something to break in the case? Unfortunately, the clock ran out before November arrived.
The longer they delay the trial and possible conviction, the better for those lying murderous bastards. If Libby's not convicted and sentenced to jail until 2008, then Bush-boy can conveniently pardon him as his term expires - just as his corrupt pappy did for his equally corrupt buddies.
If only today had been October 28, 2004. :-(
