So they "Martha'ed" him it seems

They couldnt get him on the actual crime, so they got him for lying about the actual crime. Just like Martha Stewart

Capone'ish in a way.

1. Personally, I think the aim is on bigger fish for the actual crime
Bring Libby down with what you got on him alone, save the actual treason for a higher official.

2. It's a squeeze.

Except now Libby gets to bargain for leniency, rather than the charges.

Also the trial will establish the facts on record that may be needed in other matters.

7. That'll be interesting
Because he'll want avoid a trial at all costs (to avoid more information coming out).

But I suspect that during plea bargaining, any leniency will depend on what additional facts he gives up.

3. No, that's not how it is..
They couldn't get him on the actual crime BECAUSE he lied about the actual crime, so they went after him for that.

They may still get him on the actual crime later though. Remember, they did charge Martha with the actual crime, but it got thrown out BECAUSE THE JUDGE THOUGHT IT WAS TOO THIN.

And Fitz doesn't like his charges being thrown out.

And it makes me think that during sentencing, the sentence should be harder tougher than Marthas

9. The report on what the damage to "assets" of Brewster - Jennings will
be presented to congress in an after-report... I don't know if we have to wait till Libby's trial is over or not.
