Pat Buchanan on Hardball, on the indictment: a master of disgusting irony
"Compared to Watergate, this White House was very, very lucky. They should consider themselves fortunate that they got out of this week with so few casualties."

This, coming so close to the 2000th U.S. combat death in Iraq, makes me violently ill. FUCK YOU, Pat. FUCK YOU, you squinty-eyed little SHIT.

2. These old Nixon people just don't go away. This little
bit of pillaging now is the product of old Nixon holdovers. Richard Nixon--the gift that keeps on giving. Thirtysomeyears later and they've just gotten sneakier--not smarter--just sneakier.

3. Gergen did a great job of reminding him it's not completely over
Gergen is definitely MY kind of Republican -- a REALIST, not a delusional Kool-aid drinker.

5. I can only hope Buchanan has to eat the words he's been
spewing tonight. So now I'm back to praying Fitz will pull a fast one, and soon.

8. Pukanon is euphoric- this was a good week for him.
He gets another chance to get that far rightwingradical nut job SCOTUS nominee in, he's been itching for a fight, he wants another Sca-lie-a.

So scooter falls on his sword, Pukanon doesn't care.

And, he gets to call for an iraq pull out, which is actually great.

Pukanon only cares about his own f8cking agenda and the cultural wars he invented.

9. Republicans only see things.......
that pertain to them directly. The consequences of their actions have no meaning to them since they're not directly affected. Thousands killed because some Texas nit-wit has an Oedipal axe to grind? No big deal, how's the Texas nit-wit doing, is he OK? That's all they care about, that's the only thing important to them. America's sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, friends and relatives dying by the thousands......whew, "They should consider themselves fortunate that they got out of this week with so few casualties." :grr:
Fucking ghouls. The only way they'll ever learn what it's like for Americans who go through this horror is if they are subjected to the squandering away of one of their loved one's life. I'm quite certain that will never happen though, THEIR loves ones are far above having to fight for their country, they leave that for the underclasses, America's peons. If they ever had to fight their own wars there would be damned few of them, you can bet on that!

10. Buchanan was against the war, so he wouldn't be minimizing the deaths.
In fact, I heard him today that Congress should be doing what Fitzpatrick won't, namely, getting to the bottom of how the war was sold and who lied to whom. He said Congress didn't investigate the admins' claims before the war, signed over it's const. perogatives, didn't investigate after.
