It's been five years. My patience has run out.
I am repeatedly told be patient; the jig will come up for BushCo.

Patience.

Well, god dammit, I am sick of being patient.

Are people going to continue to tell me to be patient when we're into the seventh year of this presidency?

Do they get two full terms of destruction of this country before they are punished?

I know that Libby's indictment may be the beginning of the end, but the thought of another six months or a year of waiting, theorizing, and speculation on how BushCo is going to "go down" sounds like continued hell to me.

These thugs should never have gained office in the first place.

Five god damn years later, they're still in office -- weakened but still very much in power.

Infuriating.

1. Awww, and just when we're about to make a breakthrough.
I guess you're gonna miss the party.

NGU.

If Bush** had any dignity at all, he'd resign now and spare the nation the shame.

Did I say I was giving up?

We've been hearing about this "party" for five years; I just want the god damn thing to get started.

Can't you understand that?

14. Usually one "gives up" when one's "patience has run out."

If I misread your despair, I apologize.

3. I hear your frustration
but really, when you think about it...I wouldn't want to live in a country that could more or less wham, bam, get rid of 'em in a few months because that says banana republic to me and I see tanks in the street. The wheels of justice grind exceedingly slowly and exceedingly fine. Hang in there.

Anything that happens between now and then is just a bonus.

5. Breathe in, Breathe out. Think about how much Bushco is going to
be sweating over the next coming months. I race bicycles and the hardest part of any race is always in the closing miles but the rider who stays vigilant and mentally tough is usually a rider who wins or at the very least ends up on the podium.

So keep the fire to the bastards feet and remember its always darkest before the dawn - I know corney but oh well.

low life stays in the White House?

He was a moron, low life before he ascended the throne and remains such.

All these intricate, political explanations are interesting, but lets face it, I would not want him near me, nor anyone in my family.

He's a punk.

8. Nah, your patience hasn't run out
Your patience has run out when you're screaming at the WH gates with 100,000 other people and you're not going to leave until Bush does, then the gates come down and there's mayhem and shots are fired and it looks a lot like revolution.

Short of that we have to endure continued hell and find...patience.

11. Many years ago I worked my through college, one job at a department store
as a sales clerk. An older woman would come to the store sometimes and walk by my counter mumbling to herself, and I could only catch some words; "Kennedy", "Bay of Pigs", "Dallas", "assassinated", and so on.

Now sometimes I wonder if I was seeing my future. My mutterings will be different, but I sense the same provocation.

It's been a long 5 years, but let's keep a good thought!

:toast: cheers!

12. I understand your anger. What do you propose to do about it?
Seething rage gets you nothing but ulcers. Find a helpful way to express your anger, don't just hold it in.

Then, you must accept reality. George Bush was inaugurated twice, like it or not. He will alomost certainly continue to be president (although crippled) until January 2009. Infuriating or not, it is reality and your response to that reality can be whatever you like. You can fight to change it or you can learn to live with it. Sounds like you want to change it....any ideas on how to do that?

13. My 92 year old friend
is getting impatient too. She just says - "So many years of this already. When will it end." Then she shakes her head.

I think she wanted to leave this world in safer hands when she goes. I wish I could fix it for her.

I post articles about damage the cabal is doing to our country, some of it irreparable. With every day that passes, there's more.

17. it's the roller-coaster ride...
..that never ends. And, each time i get caught up in the show, i lose focus, and have to start all over again. i should recognize the process by now, but each time it seems brand new, and the result is a need for more knowledge. Why is that?

18. It helps me to see
this national disaster that is the B**h pResidency as an indicator that the system really needs a huge correction. We're going to have a mandate for BIG changes.

I tend to agree with you that two terms of this pResidency is NOT something we should have to suffer, patiently or otherwise. This administration is so corrupt and nefarious that they are wreaking a kind of havoc that will take many years to repair. But at present our system does not have a mechanism for holding the executive branch immediately accountable in any effective way. Looks like we will have to suffer the abuse of the B**h regime until the point of its collapse, the sooner the better. We should continue to press for impeachment despite the Repug congress.

After the collapse of the regime we must ensure that this cannot-cannot- happen again--that no band of thieves and incompetents can easily hijack the US government again. I believe there will be life after Bushco and we will have a lot more opportunities then. And we'd better be ready to seize the day.
