Democrats getting face time and the WH indictment and investigation |
|
Edited on Sun Oct-30-05 07:56 AM by NNN0LHI
If any elected Democrat gets some face time on TV for any subject from now on without mentioning the Libby indictment and Fitzgerald's continued investigation in their very first sentence they are worthless and probably complicit too.
Dem's have a real chance here to make a difference if they want to. Could it all blow up in their face? Sure it could. But I am tired of having leaders who represent us always taking the safe way out. If you notice the safe way usually means less work for them and more getting screwed for us.

1. Don't hold your breath ... |
|
The Democrats, in general, have also sold out to Corporate America. With all the sweet kisses and payola under the table, I seriously doubt the majority of gutless wonder Democratic Leaders will buck their Corporate Masters to speak out.
We do have The Republican Party and the "kinder, gentler" Republican Lite DINOS in some of the most powerful Democratic Positions.
Bottom Line: It's time for us to take notes and clean house. :hi:

2. Question re Illinois and Gov. Ryan's indictment |
|
Good morning, Don, I read here on DU, but there was no link for the claim, that Gov. Ryan was something like the 66th indictment in the original investigation in to the sale of drivers' licenses by a state employee. That's an inspiring fact for those who worry that this investigation will end with Libby's indictment. Does that number sound about right to you? And didn't it take a couple of years before the Chicago State's Attorney worked his way up the food chain to Ryan?

3. Good morning Divernan. Here is a link to that Fitzgerald investigation |
|
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=5210220&mesg_id=5210220I think it was five or six years before he finally indicted the former Illinois governor after the first indictment. And by the way I knew the Illinois governor. His house is about 20 miles from mine and had met him on a few occasions. He was in his 70's and out of office for years when Fitzgerald finally indicted him so I doubt Scooter will get much sympathy from Fitzgerald. Take care. Don

4. So far so good. I have seen tape of Kerry twice this morning |
|
He was ripping Bush and his minions both times about the indictment and outing of a CIA officer.

5. The MSM practically shut the Dems out during the last 5 years. |
|
So it was difficult to see and hear Dems say anything except in defense of Kerry during swiftboat smearing campaign. Now they will be getting more face time and they had better have something really great to say. They can smack the Rovians down and in the next breath talk about the Dem vision and how it will correct the sins of the bush administration.
