NYT's Safire defends Miller, gets his ass kicked by Russert and ...
Judy Woodruff.

Safire said she's a great reporter and Fitz went too far in jailing her.

Russert and Woodruff immediately responded that her NYT editors basically called her a liar.

Kinda satisfying!!

1. Oh my God. Could Safire BE any more of an apologist?
He was unbelievable. "The economy is booming." :wow:

"Judy Miller is a superb reporter." Jesus Christ.

These people are seriously delusional.

9. Did he say "Brownie did a heckuva job"?
or "We're winning in Iraq"?

2. That whole show was unbelieveable. It's pretty much know they lied
to start a war. Not a hint of that on the program. Just more praises of what a good job * is doing. Keep that stock market up - it's been flat for 3-4 years now. Economy's in great shape - somewhere. And then the death of the MSM might be their covering Fizgerald and how no laws were broken - it was a coverup of nothing! And not covering the great election (and fraud) in Iraq. I have to stop watching MTP.

3. Safire spent his life's credibility shilling for Nixon on Watergate
Remember the campaign stories he floated to explain away Watergate? They were going to show some connection from the Dems to Castro. Sound like a Karl Rove cover story? It probably was.

4. That stupid gasbag was disgusting on MTP
saying the main point that everyone needs to realize is that there was no intentional outing of a CIA agent. (or something to that effect) Then he was defending Dubya saying how great the economy was doing. Saying this investigation was a huge blow to the first amendment. What an asshole!

8. Serious hallucinating by Safire.

It was wierd and kind of sad, just denial. It's time for the man to retire, he doesn't have all his mental faculties together anymore.
