1. Wouldn't be Bill Bennet, would it? The AM talking radio head?
Didn't he get himself in trouble recently with some racist or somehow otherwise politically charged statement?

lives, yet that seemed to be a cancerous mole covering 90% of the body of the presidency according to Republicans.

How about some perspective.

This was about jeopardizing national security to destroy legitimate critics of the administration's lies so that Republicans could achieve some other political end (which was apparently NOT about protecting American security, sinced that was the first thing they threw overboard when they blew Plame's cover).

I seem to remember that "mole on the presidency" line from way back then!

Well, it didn't work then, did it guys?

and maybe they think cutting this one off is going to take care of the problem. I'm certain this disease has spead and it's probable that there are more lesions that are gonna to have to be cut off.

6. Bill Bennett thinks he's a paragon of virtue.
As opposed to a racist gambling addict. He has a positive self-image, which means he's delusional.

9. All these lying wankers deserve an icepick in the back of the neck.
Rather than the opportunity to continue lying to the American public thru broadcast licences which are freely given to them by this administration.

10. Hope springs eternal
In this case, hope is springing so much, it keeps bashing its head against the ceiling and has thus rendered itself incapable of cogent thought.

11. what else can they say?
I mean, they're trying to defend their side. They can't argue with the evidence because it's pretty clear that he did lie so all they are left with is to try to claim that his position wasn't that important.

Libby held an upper level position in this administration, in fact he was known as Cheney's Cheney! To say Libby was not important would be like saying Cheney isn't important and I doubt anyone would say that!

On Russert's show last night they even said that this is a very big deal for this administration!! This is very bad for their side and it's worse when you consider that Bush, in 2000, pledged to restore honesty and integrity to the White House!! Yeah, right!

Don't let the right wing spin confuse you........they are very worried!! Even though they'll never admit it....

15. true!!
They have to put some kind of spin on it to try to reduce the damages for their side.

EVERYONE KNOWS this is really bad for the administration and anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is lying......or spinning (which is basically the same thing)

WASHINGTON, Sept. 29 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Former Republican Secretary of Education William Bennett remarked yesterday on his radio show that, "I do know that it's true that if you wanted to reduce crime, you could -- if that were your sole purpose, you could abort every black baby in this country, and your crime rate would go down."

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean issued the following statement:

"Bill Bennett's hateful, inflammatory remarks regarding African Americans are simply inexcusable. They are particularly unacceptable from a leader in the conservative movement and former Secretary of Education, once charged with the well being of every American school child. He should apologize immediately. This kind of statement is hardly compassionate conservatism; rather, Bennett's comments demonstrate a reprehensible racial insensitivity and ignorance. Are these the values of the Republican Party and its conservative allies? If not, President Bush, Ken Mehlman and the Republican Leadership should denounce them immediately as hateful, divisive and worthy only of scorn.

"As Americans, we should focus on the virtues that bring us together, not hatred that tears us apart and unjustly scapegoats fellow Americans."

14. Not Only Faux
Last Friday afternoon, I was listening to my radio when the national news announced the indictment. They described Libby as an aid to The Vice President. Then they went on to describe Joseph Wilson as one of the Presidents harshest critics. --- It made me dizzy.
