White House in Turmoil

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9865902/site/newsweek/site/newsweek/

By Howard Fineman and Richard Wolffe
Newsweek
Nov. 7, 2005 issue - The mood in the White House last Friday afternoon was grim, but eerily quiet. Dick Cheney was gone, off in Georgia giving yet another apocalyptic terrorism speech to yet another military crowd. The president, just back from his own rally-the-troops address, was eager to chopper to Camp David for the weekend. But, in the small dining room adjoining the Oval Office, he was doing something uncharacteristic: watching live news on TV.

2. Happy group, isn't it. and they deserve to worry.
We all pay the price for this bunch. In our worries, in our wallets.
I hope they lose as much sleep as I do. My worries are how to heat my house, how to keep my own ship of state afloat. How to survive long enough to reach 65 so I can get medicare. Social security does not even cover the health insurance I would like to buy but cannot afford. Thank heaven my kids are grown, I could not afford to educate them any more. Anyone else juggling the income to try and meet the outgo? I hope georgie loses lots of sleep. All of them, for that matter.

3. Cheney's influence at zero? Bullshit.
That is just not credible, because it implies that the Coward is able to make tough decisions. And I do not believe that.

This is in Newsweek? It almost sounds like something I'd read on Whitehouse.org. I like it.
