How much time do you think Rove bought himself with his 11th hour.. |
|
Rope-a-dope?
IMO, if it is only a week or two, it will do more damage than if Rove was gone now. The storm clouds remain on the horizon, with no sunshine in sight. So keep karl around a bit longer so Scotty can answer (or duck) more questions about this mess. The longer Rove stays, the worse it will get for Bush.
I give Rove 1-2 more weeks at the WH at most. Bush, 1-2 more years, at most.

The WH won't get rid of him until they know he's going down. |
|
So it could be as long as a year and a half.

3. They won't get rid of him until after he's gone down. Look at Scooter. |
|
They waited until AFTER he was indicted to get rid of him. First White House official to be indicted while still in office in 120 years.

8. Well, they wouldn't want to admit they were wrong, after all... |
|
...but I don't know that they'll take too many more hits like that from now on.

7. After bush initially saying he'd fire anyone......... |
|
from his administration who outed Plame. He must have found out right away that Libby, Rove, probably Cheney and who knows how many more in his administration were involved because he changed his tune in a hurry. Suddenly it became anyone who was "convicted" of the crime.
If bush had a single shred of integrity and honesty he'd fire the entire lot immediately. I guess his honesty and integrity is mostly a sham like his "religious" convictions, his management skills and ability to govern this country.

9. What does this "integrity" mean? This "honesty"? |
|
These concepts are foreign to this administration beyond selling a lie.

2. I give Rove a month or two |
|
I think Fitz will step back, let the news cool off and really make sure he's got everything he needs (which also might be a little time for the pressure to build up with Libby now that he knows how serious his charged are)

4. Undermines his allies in the media if/when he's |

indicted. Especially if he is indicted for the leak itself in addition to perjury and obstruction. Putting it off just leaves an ostrich farm-load of egg on their faces while they lock into talking points that assume this won't happen.
We'll see - I'm guessing it might be a few weeks though.

5. Enough to toss in an Obstruction charge. |
|
Unless Rove is willing to deal. By the "Offical A" in the indictment for Libby. It is clear that Rove would have been indicted last friday along with Libby.
Maybe he is tossing info at Fitz to save himself and is about to flip.

6. I give him no more than a few months tops. |
|
But it may come quicker than that, he is filthy now and everyone is going to step around him from this point forward, he is radioactive.

10. The more I think about this......... |
|
This eleventh hour story, the more I think it is bs. KKKarl has made a deal. He is going to give up (or has given up)something big, and he is going to plead. This whole fairy tale is being fed to us by, well.....Rove.
Think about it. Why did Fitz make an appearance at *'s attorneys office before he went into the GJ? Was he picking something up? Was he trying to make someone very nervous and paranoid?
Libby was trying to deal. He exited the negotiations because Fitz was demanding that he do some "serious jail time".
What about the Newsweek story that came out today? Do you think Rove might just be leaving the WH? Do you think that Cheney might just be getting ready to go down, and go down hard.
Do you really think some stupid little email saved Karl? Do you think that maybe Fitz agreed to help Karl with his cover story, to buy some time and not alert the person whom he has ratted out?
Jeez, I wake up in the middle of the night with these ideas. I am constantly trying to figure this thing out. I have gone over the edge. Someone help me!
