It's Really More Like FITZNUKAH Than Fitzmas

When I was growing up, I was usually the only Jew in the crowd. Not celebrating Christmas was kind of a bummer, but when I told the kids I got EIGHT nights of presents as opposed to their one night, that usually levelled the playing field. So what if it got little presents spaced out over time? Even though I didn't get to experience the thrill of rushing to the tree on Christmas morning and ripping open a bevvy of presents all in one crazed session, the net gains were the same.

So props to Al Franken for coining the word... and HAPPY FITZNUKAH!!!

wake-up on Friday morning singing "deck the halls with balls of neocons, fa la la la la, la la la la!" That was the hazzard of being a Jew in school choruses. Those Christmas carols sure stick! Ask Barbara Streisand and Neil Diamond. They've both made Christmas albums.

5. I actually mentioned it long before Franken did

When I used it on the KOEB thread very early in the week last week, no one had heard it used before. Not that I think Franken got it from me, but I'm just sayin'. It was only a matter of time before someone else came up with it.
