The charges against Lewis Libby: One count of obstruction of justice, two counts of perjury, two counts of making false statements.

Arraignment: Libby is expected to appear in court Tuesday or Wednesday.

The allegation: Libby learned from four officials in June and early July 2003 that former Ambassador Joseph Wilson's wife, Valerie Plame, worked for the CIA, which is classified information. On June 23, July 8 and July 12, Libby had conversations with reporters about that information. Libby lied to investigators and grand jurors when he said he told reporters that the information came from other reporters and that he did not know whether it was true.

Special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald: "Mr. Libby lied about how and when he learned and subsequently disclosed classified information about Valerie Wilson."
