Educated guesses: how desperate will they get?
As the rope is pulled ever tighter and things look bleaker and bleaker for the bush administration and the right wing in general, how desperate do you think they'll get?

We all know they resort to crazy shit when they get desperate and like a cornered animal, they tend to lash out. So what are your best guesses as to what kind of stunts the right will pull in the coming weeks/months as things get worse for them? (I'm talking about everyone from bush to cheney, OxyContin Man to the talking heads on TV, etc. The everyday reich winger will just take their cues from them and do the same thing.)

And yes, I'm assuming things will get worse, as I see absolutely no reason to believe at this point that things will get better for them.

And just so everyone knows, I'm not particularly worried about what they'll do, because I believe it will be seen, more and more, as the work and words of truly desperate thugs. I'm just kind of enjoying seeing them freak out so much and wondering what kind of freak out is next. Hee.

1. Re: desperation guesses
It is bound to only get worse for them and us (the left) in the short term. We can already see the right wing imploding. The fact that they wouldn't let Miers go to the Senate was despicable and in some ways shows how desperate they are to keep an unknown woman off the Supreme Court. How dare Bush 2 step out of line and nominate a woman who's abortion views are unknown!! And now the two men that are leading the nomination pack are white! Wow. As a white man I'm so sick of stupid white men.

In the coming years I think we will see the right wing continue to eat itself alive. They will keep Bush 2 in line with their views at all costs. Their hypocrisy will eventually lead to their downfall. How long is anyone's guess, but those of us looking for the truth shouldn't give up on the moderate citizens of this country. They will eventually tire of the right wing and vote for the only party that is left. :)

2. We're lucky to have Fitz
he will fry them all in grease if he has the chance.

The partisan talking point isn't sticking, so my prediction is: they'll play the "overzealous prosecutor making a name for himself to sell his book" card. They'll cry foul and make a plea for sympathy. If the admin goes down, the only thing they'll cop to is incompetence--ideologically, the Bush administration was doing the right thing.
