Why is the media trying to move past this so quickly?
All I've heard from the talking heads tonight is what Bush needs to do next to recover from his "bad week", they're totally minmalizing this.

6. We don't have to take it ...
... phone, write or email your TV news station of choice, and tell them that if they can't find the time in their 24/7 news coverage to cover the FULL EXTENT of the Libby indictment story, you can't find the money to buy their sponsor's products.

Money talks -- unfortunately, it's the only 'talk' these people hear.

14. 24/7, yes. But the media is trying to make this a case...
of "It's not Bush's fault" and move on.

15. The wingnut RW pundits are, yes. They're in complete denial.
But this story's not going anywhere. It'll be fodder for the media for a long time to come.

* Walter Pincus, Richard Leiby, Mike Allen, Dana Priest and Glenn Kessler, The Washington Post

* Andrea Mitchell, "Meet the Press," NBC

* Chris Matthews, "Hardball," MSNBC

* Tim Russert, Campbell Brown, NBC

* Nicholas D. Kristof, David E. Sanger and Judith Miller, The New York Times

* Greg Hitt and Paul Gigot, The Wall Street Journal

9. Because the media, for the most part, is owned by them.
They are going to do everything in their power to get this story off of the first page and first story of the news. Tomorrow or the next day he'll appoint a new person for the Supreme Court which will create contraversy regardless of who it is. Then the bird flu will come back into the spotlight. Just watch and remember- when you own the media, you own the stories the public gets to hear.

How do you think they've gotten away with all of this so far?

10. Because CM (corporate media) are a bunch of pathetic liars & whores?
That's all there is too it. This is one hell of a story. They'd give that up to spin for their masters.

Matt Cooper (Charles Olson is his lawyer) and Judith Miller (shows that working for Pacifica once does not make you liberal) are the epitome of whoredom. Cooper caved in like an empty septic tank and Millelrll rolled as soon as she thought she got a deal.

There is only one problem. Fitzgerald isn't done. He'll operate on his own schedule and standards, which are extremely professional.

He'll drive the story and we'll receive the information from the internet or other sources where free speech is practiced.

We'll win also.

12. Meet the press showed three different clips of Clinton
apologizing for the Lewinski scandal while the panel discusses what Bush should do next. It seems like they're trying to make the process of damage control the story.

13. Because the so-called media is complicit in this scandal.
Matt Cooper - Time

Judas Miller - NYT

Chris Matthews, Andrea Mitchell, Tim Russert - NBC

One has to question why Scooter thought he could simply phone Tim Russert and complain about coverage of a cable news show... and have Tim pass on that complaint to the head of NBC.

COMPLICIT. That's what these mediawhores are. They don't want any additional digging by other outlets because, I suspect, there are a few more Judith Miller-like operatives out there.

I'm still waiting for Steno Sue to be outed.

17. Because they are accessories to the crimes...
Russert, Tweety, Miller... the list goes on and on...

They were all part of selling the lies to the American people. They don't want this story to 'grow legs', because they'll be forced to report on the crap job they did, and to unveil their part in killing American soldiers and innocent civilians.
